Cool Black North was just nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the National Black Film Festival. The project follows the Canadian black community and it’s role in the country’s modern day identity. The production was directed by OYA’s own Alison Duke and featured some alumni of OYA’s Emerging Filmmakers program as part of it’s crew.
