M. Emeraude Domingos-Mbuku
M. Émeraude Domingos-Mbuku is a Toronto-based filmmaker and writer. She uses film as a medium to discuss Black and African womanhood in popular culture and intersectional feminism in the age of social media. Émeraude has been featured in Reel Honey Magazine, The Eyeopener, and The Newspaper. Her first documentary film, It’s a Little Complicated, inspired her to further pursue narratives on female refugees living in Toronto, allowing them to tell their stories in their own words. She has presented and participated in panels and incubators including CHATBOUT - A Conversation on Femininity, The Body & (Mis)representation and the CineFan Feature Film Incubator. Émeraude recently graduated from Ryerson University with a Master of Fine Arts.
