Kristen Lambie is a Jamaican/Canadian producer, writer and actress who has worked in front of the camera in a variety of independent films and television projects. She won the award for Best Actress at the 2019 National Black Film Festival for her leading role in the short film, Tuition (2018). Recently, Kristen completed her Master of Arts in Media Production at Ryerson University and also has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Film Studies with a specialization in Film Production from Wilfrid Laurier University. Kristen strives to tell stories about her experiences as a woman of the African Diaspora including topics of identity, belonging and her Caribbean culture.
She is now taking the next step into a career behind the camera by honing her skills as a producer and writer. Currently, she is working on a mini-digital series, Pretty for a Whack Girl as well as developing a short film and TV series concept.
