Valerie Amponsah
Creative and Production
Valerie Amponsah is a 20-something-year-old storyteller who brings stories hidden in the depths of her community to light. Influenced by her cultural upbringing and many identities, she aims to bring people together through the experience of storytelling to foster connectedness throughout the black diaspora and champion change in non-Black spaces.
She believes it is time to uplift Black voices and to encourage open and unapologetic discussions about taboo subjects in the Black community such as mental health and trauma. She is currently working on her next very short documentary, Black Boys Who Look Blue.
